While The Essential Guide to ISO/SAE 21434, for example, is intended to provide an introduction to automotive cybersecurity and ISO/SAE 21434 as a whole, there is a considerable range of content that is more interesting for specific functions and roles, and less so for others.
This principle of role and function-based delivery of cybersecurity competencies is served by the ACP Framework and the associated Automotive Cybersecurity Competency Management.

With the recent official publication of the ISO/SAE 21434 Road Vehicles – Cybersecurity Engineering Standard, interest is high to take a look at the now official publication of the standard (in the so-called “First Edition”). After all, word has spread that this affects the entire value chain, including tier-n suppliers, some of whom are still surprised by the far-reaching scope of the standard.

Automotive Cybersecurity: Terms and definitions

UN Regulation No. 155
UN Regulation No. 155 is probably well known to automotive experts, as it is a regulation with which compliance is mandatory. It is a challenge not only for OEMs, but also for suppliers. In the associated video course, we not only explain the scope of UN R155 and how it applies, but also go into more depth on Cybersecurity Management Systems (CSMS), Vehicle Requirements and Vehicle Type Approval.

UN Regulation No. 156
While UN R155 and the topic of CSMS are already receiving a lot of attention in the automotive industry, UN Regulation No. 156 and the Software Update Management System are still almost niche issues, as one might think.
